Happy 2nd Birthday, Molly!

Molly turned 2 on June 27. We woke up to a rainy morning, so we started the day celebrating her birthday in our tent. After an afternoon canoe ride and exploring an island, we had a birthday party for Molly. Uncle Bob and Cari made the day so special for Molly by decorating their site and they even had birthday hats, plates, and noisemakers! We ate Molly's favorite meal - hot dogs! For dessert we enjoyed a Rice Krispies Treat cake.

Rollins Pond

We spent the past week camping at Rollins Pond in the Adirondacks. We had a great week with Gran, Grandpa, Uncle Bob, and Cari. While we were there, Ian caught his first fish. We spent time hiking, canoeing, and swimming. We also did a lot of eating. On Friday, while Gran, Grandpa, Uncle Bob, and Cari did a longer hike, we spent a day in Lake Placid. We walked through town for a few hours and then went to the Olympic ski jumps to watch summer ski jump practice. It was amazing to watch the skiers flip through the air and then land in a pool. After a quick stop at Sonic this afternoon, we headed to Ontelaunee Orchards this afternoon to pick strawberries and cherries. Ian and Molly had a great time picking and tasting the berries and cherries - you can see the evidence on Molly's face!

Molly got a toddler bed from Grammom and Poppy for her birthday. Saturday night she fell asleep right in front of the door. Last night I put her to bed and she stayed there and slept all night. Looks like she fell asleep in the middle of her book!



Today's nap was not quite as successful.

We celebrated Molly's 2nd birthday today with a family gathering at Grammom and Poppy's house.

Molly is 23 months old today!

Happy Memorial Day

We went to the Memorial Day parade this morning in Reiffton and saw Gran walk by with the Relay for Life group. (Want to support her in this year's Relay for Life? Go to www.relayforlife.org/paexeter and choose her team, St. Lawrence Saints, then choose Marianne Lubenow and make your donation!)
After the parade, we enjoyed a picnic at Grammom and Poppy's with Aunt Lori, Uncle Jimmy, Grandmom Boone, Uncle Gene, Grammom, and Poppy.
