More swimming!

We just finished up the third week of swimming lessons. Molly is really starting to like lessons now - she smiles when she's in the pool and loves dunking Brian. Ian loves going in the pool and now wears his goggles the whole time. He doesn't like them very tight, so he has to dump the water out each time he comes up out of the water, but he is so happy to be able to "see the lines in the pool" when he's underwater.

Happy Easter!

Our Easter started off with a visit from the Easter bunny. Ian found Molly's basket right away, but had a harder time finding his own. We went to church and then headed to Grandmom Boone's for a wonderful lunch and the annual egg hunt. And yes, Lori found her eggs before me again this year. Jimmy says we will soon need to pass the real egg hunt on to the kids, but I don't think either one of us is ready to give up the yearly challenge between sisters. While we were at Grandmom's today, we planted two tulip plants in memory of Pop-pop, one from Ian and and one from Molly. I hope to continue this tradition each year. Pop-pop, you were missed today. We love you.

Let's go swimming, let's go swimming

Ian and Molly had their first swimming lessons of the spring tonight. Molly wasn't so sure about it and only lasted about 10 minutes. Ian had a great time!

21 months

Molly is 21 months old today.

ABCD

Molly tries so hard to do everything Ian does. Check out this video of her singing along to the ABCs. She yells "ABCD! ABCD! ABCD!" whenever she wants to sing it.

Today's project

I spent the afternoon sewing a dress for Molly today. It's something I always wanted to do, so when I saw this Etsy shop with dress kits, I knew it was a good place to start. Cutting fabric makes me nervous and that step was already done for me! The instructions were very clear and I'm happy with the way it turned out for my first ever piece of clothing. One sleeve is a bit longer than the other, but not too bad.
